Very classy stuff! I feel inadequate, but ready to learn. Agnes

DeleteNice china ang glasses. I like the way the table should be dressed for the formal dinner. Cheers, Anita
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Anita. It is an Informal dinner actually. For the formal dinner, it is far more heavier...Best, Sixte
DeleteI am far behind with all these rules. It is nice to be taught about it. Thanks, Lena
ReplyDeleteI am so fond or informal/formal dinners. Your post will remind me how to do it properly. Thank you. Rosie

ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome Anna. All the best, Sixtine
DeleteYour informal French table dressing looks to me as very elegant. I can't imagine the formal dinner setting! Claire
ReplyDeleteThank you Claire. To be honest, formal is very heavy. You have to put absolutely everything on the table : all your glasses (5 or 6), all the cutlery (around 6 each side plus above), all the plates (6 as well), plus the cup of tea and bread plate. I do not do it myself but I know some...I will maybe do a post about it (with Mathilde's help), maybe not...Best, Sixte
DeleteOne needs a lot of time to prepare such a table (and of course one needs a proper hardware). Well done, Sixte. Charity
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Charity. You know, I have Zara Home hardware as well (look at my post about "poached eggs"), and I do like to mix a lot. In my point of view, it does not take so much time : I have a cupboard where everything is stored and I just have to pick the plates, glasses and cutlery up and arrange them. Just try it one day and let me know. All the best, Sixte
DeleteI will go to this sale on the 14th. I will bring some class to my party making. Thanks, Mo
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome Mo. Best, Sixte
DeleteI love the stylish parties. I have to work on it. Perhaps buying the right plates, glasses and cutlery could be a good start. Thanks Sixte. Steph
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Steph. As long as you like it...It is the most important. You can have some really lovely plates that you can accessorize with flowers and nice candles for a start. Best, Sixte
