Of course Wendy. As you can see on the post, the Kir is presented together with the mushrooms for an aperitif. And Kir, is THE aperitif in France so...Best, Sixte
Hey Sixte, success!!! Mushrooms came the way you intended (I hope). They were sensational. Kir is on my list next. I am very happy! Lizzy (the lazy one)
So good to hear it Lazy!! (oups, Lizzy of course...). For the Kir, you will do some mushrooms again (now that you are very good at it...). You will see, they go particularly well together. Best, Sixte
I do Phoebe. Bonne chance !!!. Use some prosecco or Champagne for a "Kir royal" if you prefer. If you cannot find Saint-Germain, use "creme de cassis" instead, you will have a real "Kir" like we do in Burgundy...Best, Sixte
Drink for me and mushrooms for my children. A very balanced set of recipes!!! Thanks, Sixte, Bo
ReplyDeleteYes Bo, very well balanced. Well done! Best, Sixte
DeleteLovely and simple mushroom recipe. "Kir" is new to me. I will try both...."kir" in moderation. Samantha
ReplyDeleteOf course Samatha, always in moderation (but for everything actually), moderation is the key...Best, Sixte
DeleteOh I like the diversity. Mushrooms look fantastic and the drink is needed sometimes to calm the nerves. Ciao, Martina
ReplyDeleteIt's true Martina...You will see it is very easy to make...Best, Sixte
DeleteWhere can I get the ingredients for the drink, please? Mel
ReplyDeleteOf course Mel, silly me... From Waitrose, Whole-food or any (good) wine merchants. Best, Sixte
DeleteYour mushrooms remind me of my mother's cooking. I will make them this weekend. Thanks :) Natalia
ReplyDeleteOh lovely Natalia. I have this recipe from a friend, Huberte. But mushrooms like this are quite common in France (especially in Lyon). Best, Sixte
DeleteNice recipes! Very stimulating and simple at the same time. I like it this way! Jenny B.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Jenny...Best, Sixte
DeleteDo mushrooms go together with the KIR, or they are just separate items? Naive Dorothy
ReplyDeleteNo, Dorothy. It's nothing really. Yes, they go very well together but it is not an obligation...You do it your own way... Best, Sixte
DeleteMushrooms - V, "KIR" - V, Sixte 2:0, perfect Victory. Vicky
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Vicky. You are a perfect umpire...Best, Sixte
DeleteBoursin mushrooms are perfect for the starter. Would KIR be good as an aperitif? Wendy
ReplyDeleteOf course Wendy. As you can see on the post, the Kir is presented together with the mushrooms for an aperitif. And Kir, is THE aperitif in France so...Best, Sixte

ReplyDeleteThank you Annie. Best, Sixte
DeleteMushrooms and Kir are happening tomorrow. Wish me luck, Sixte. I have some important guests. Phoebe

ReplyDeleteFair enough Stephanie. You can always have elderflower cordial with sparkling water (or lemonade...). Best, Sixte
