    1. Hello Mia. I have put a little "history" about the cake...It comes from the pound cake but because we French, do not use pounds anymore, we put it in "quart" and there are 4 equals "Quart" of butter, flour, eggs and sugar in this cake, so it had been called "Quatre-Quart". Best, Sixte
