  14. I assume flying in this British weather is not easy, unless you break through the clouds. Happy New Year Sixte. Mel

    1. Clouds are fine when detected... There are different family forms classified by altitudes. For example, there are "good" clouds (like in the video). You see them, you enter, it's fine : Cirrus (Ci), Cirrostratus (Cs) and Cirrocumulus (Cc). The grey ones are big and even radars have difficulty to detect them : Altostratus (As) and Nimbostratus (Ns). The worst are Cumulonimbus (called Cb's). They have inside very unstable hot and cold air (which cause turbulence). They can produce thunderstorms and lightning...Have a lovely New Year as well Mel. Best, Sixte
