350g of Aberdeen minced steak filet – 1 chopped
tomatoes can – 1 red kidney beans can – 1 tbsp of double concentrated tomato
puree – 1 tbsp of cumin seed – 1 tbsp of paprika – 50g of dark chocolate
(80% for me) - 2 tbsp of brown caster sugar – 150g of onion (frozen for me) – 1
garlic clove (crushed) – 50g of shallots – 150g of rice - chilli to taste (1
for me).
In a large saucepan,
fry the shallot, onion and garlic in a little bit of olive oil.
Add the meat and
cook for 5 minutes.
Add the beans,
tomatoes, tomato puree, cumin, chocolate, paprika, sugar and chilli.
Combine well, cover
and cook for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile boil
water for the rice. Cook the rice.
Serve the chilli

DeleteCHOCOLATE chili con carne!? I am all for it, Sixtine. Laura
ReplyDeleteYes Laura, it sounds strange but I never knew what to do with very strong chocolate (80 or 99 %). I found that in a very small quantity, it went very well with white fish and was incredible in beef stew...Try it, I am sure you will adopt it...Sixtine
