DeleteWell done them! although they look like a safari hunters. Sarah
ReplyDeleteWe have to wear knee pads to protect ourselves when playing (the same for the summer polo). It is not very glamorous I must say...Best, Sixte
DeleteNice pics, Sixte. Janice
ReplyDeleteThank you Janice. Best, Sixte
DeleteHey Sixte, are you on one of the photos? Di
ReplyDeleteNo, sorry Di. The tournament I took on pics was with Chris Hyde, so a very high goal tournament nearly with professional only... Best, Sixte
DeleteIs this wet weather good for playing polo? It must be a messy game in the mud. Karen
ReplyDeleteYes, it is Karen. But as all outdoor sport...The same with jumping or cross-country eventing, it can become very muddy indeed...Best, Sixte
DeleteYou have a talent for taking pictures, Sixte. Pamela
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Pamela, your comment is very nice...Best, Sixte
DeleteI like the horses tails! don't they look cute! Charlie
ReplyDeleteYes Charlie, you are right. We have to do this in order not to entangled the mallet with the long hair from the tails...Best, Sixte
DeleteI will come to watch polo this Saturday. It will be the first time in my life. Rebecca
ReplyDeleteGood Rebecca. You have to make a wish now...Best, Sixte
DeleteThis will be great to watch "The Best Player" in action. I must say he looks like an overweight daddy. June
ReplyDeleteYes, it is good. It is so different from a tournament. Chris Hyde is a really nice guy. He accepts straight away to pose for the blog while being in a match (it was the end of the 3rd chukka). Best, Sixte
DeleteI think it is going to rain this Saturday, but I will try to come to your club with my family. will they play in the field or in the arena? Lucy
ReplyDeleteGood Lucy. You will adore it. It is arena polo season now so it is going to be....in the arena. You cannot miss it though. It is the largest in Europe and just amongst the polo fields... Please bring your picnic...Best, Sixte
DeleteI will definitely come to watch. I will take my best friend with me. Mandy
ReplyDeleteThat is very good Mandy. Bring something to eat if you wish... I will confirm you the time tomorrow. Best, Sixte

DeleteHi Sixte, despite the bad weather I will try to be there. Anne
ReplyDeleteThat is very brave of you Anne, thank you. To be honest, I do hope the weather will not be too, too bad... Bring some food if you wish...Best, Sixte

DeleteWhat a shame! I still would like to se some polo in the future. Gina
DeletePolo is the game of kings. Will I fit in there? Humble Susan
ReplyDeleteHello humble Susan. Oh yes, you will fit. In fact, the game of kings is....horse racing!!! Some people in America suggest that it is polo because of the Queen's cup and all the royal people around... But horse racing were (many years ago) for the kings and Queens (Richard I, Henry VIII, Queen Elizabeth, etc...). Best, Sixte
DeleteI will dress warm and take an umbrella with me, but I am not missing this opportunity to watch a good polo game. Charlotte
ReplyDeleteThat is very good Charlotte. It is always nice to have a little bit of fresh air as well...Bring something to eat (and drink) as well. Best, Sixte
DeleteNever mind, Sixte. The English weather... Charlotte
DeleteThank you Charlotte. Today is such a beautiful day...Best, Sixte
